Challenges are a part of life. Understand, you are not alone. All the demise of the word is not happening to you. You are not that special to this Universe. What adds speciality is your Attitude , in every sense.
1. When you see a problematic situation bombarding you, what do you feel? The obvious answer is you feel anxious, panic strikes you, its not a good feeling. Nobody in this world would feel happy, if you are, then certainly you need to see some psychatrist.
How long you stay in that mental state? The amount of time differs in different people and that’s one of the many factors that determines what outcome you deserve.
2. What’s your reaction ? When I say reaction, that’s involuntary and is something that comes from within at first place without mindfulness and conscious thoughts. Usually the reaction is “fear triggers” when we start to loose our mind, we are afraid of the worst happening to us, we even loose hope and let’s accept it, we even feel worthless. Now, here at this stage, this reaction is the manifestation of how you feel at first place. That’s exactly what you need to CONTROL. Feelings would flow, for sure. You will have fears, negativities and all bad stuff creeping in for some time, the time for those to stay would differ obviously, but the reaction is something thats in your hands. Usually, reactions would include unnecessesary becoming angry at people around you, getting irritated and talking to them with disgrace, sometimes maybe breaking down, crying , immediately seeking temporary vent out places and discussing with people who may not even bother. Now the thing is whatever we do as a reaction is basically a result of those feelings. What you need to do here at this stage is – “Accept those feelings and talk to yourself “. Thats it. This wont solve your problem at first go but will avoid the unnecessary negative circles created around you when you follow the other ways and seek console and . Usually , at this time , you need somebody who you can blindly trust and believe in. Make that ‘somebody’= ‘You’/’Yourself’ this time, for a change, this time, trust your own self, give yourself a chance and Just say to yourself- Its fine, i will deal with it, I have got it, I will make it right.
If from the next time in any such situation, you just at least start trying to do this, I can guarantee things will be enormously different in your lives. Not only will you feel full of positivity but most of your problems would go away itself like magic literally ,i can guarantee that, because a lot of the times our problems are made up and exaggerated by our brain. It’s not even a problem sometimes.
3. How do you respond ? Now response is opposite of reaction and is a thoughtful action you take post you are hit by a situation but this action is certainly not just to let out the how you feel but a more calmer approach. Whats your response to this hurdle/challenge/problem is what determines if it yields you something golden or it just adds another scar to you.
4. Think the Negative Outcome – Think of the worst that can happen, become extremist, thing the negative-est in every thing, take the situation to a max point post which it can not be stretched and see for yourself what is the worst that will happen if the problem stays and works the way we don’t want it to work. Most of the times you will find, its nothing to worry about, plus it makes you face the worst thing that MIGHT happen , since you have dared to imagine the worst and have seen it in your head, you in a way have faced it and you don’t fear anymore and you don’t care anymore.
However, since you now have acceptance and a little fearlessness, you have made the problem already small and can work even better and efficiently to get away with it and feel more confident and who knows if this was also a blessing in disguise for you 😉
5. What’s your rebound time : After a situation occurs, what’s the time you take to come back to your original state of mind is what is your rebound period. people all around the globe practise meditation, take healing sessions and what not, all to speed up their rebound power. All we need to do is to decrease this period for us and it will come with practise. So, what matters is you rebound back to your control and power. The period shall start decreasing automatically as you progress.
Writing stuff for me is easy , speaking of ideal things to do for anyone is easy, but what is difficult is to check if we actually are able to implement this when the real situation occurs. We are humans, we tend to get carried away with the feelings but let’s remember those are temporary feelings, the Control and Power always stays with you , no matter what. You always have the choice to act and respond and if you are smart enough, you will realise the challenges are nothing but opportunities presented to you wrapped in some unwanted shit, you just need not to scare away and be opportunistic.
As they say – “Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you respond to it“
