Feminine aspect , since ages, has been associated with words like softness, calmness, honesty, groundedness, resilience, hard work, etc . Considering the business aspects, women usually have an inbuilt bundle of qualities that help them seamlessly and persistently carry it forward and I guess that’s why as per a report by BCG , companies run by Women founders make more revenue and last longer than the ones having Male founders.
I think we, women, have this inbuilt habit of extracting values to a good extent and being more on the creative side of things.
Running a business essentially requires you to be more on the creative side. Here’s what I think – anything that has a utility value in people’s life, it is already needed. When there is a need , you have the opportunity to create demand and nail it with your services, solutions, and product & I think a woman’s mind is very good at looking through the invisible and strategizing stuff. All you require is the right mindset, persistence, and sustainable thinking pattern. Obviously , as you go , you get challenges but I guess being a woman, the threshold of patience is somewhat increased and that gives you the power to keep going. Moreover, women usually lack that so-called Ego which kinda eases a lot of struggles in her business journey , I guess.
Obviously your business might not always go the way you want, you may face a series of failures , become hopeless at times, and what not but this attitude of keep going and being flexible is usually found with women on a higher scale that ultimately starts yielding results. This is what I found with me personally. With my companies and ventures so far, yes i agree , I sometimes want to leave everything and just quit, but I am conditioned in a way that I dont and i believe in this quality of myself. Moreover, my mother had been my greatest inspiration who had been so good at making money through her salon and grooming business. Observing her from a very young age, the way she dealt with her clients, her communication skills, her sales techniques and her master mind in scaling her salon to a full fledged high end beauty and grooming centre at a time when women were not usually expected to do anything more than making babies and taking care of their families in a country like mine, inspired me a lot and I never had a second thought of why i wont be a strong business lady like her. Although I feel there’s a huge scope of learning for me to reach upto her level, but I think I am pretty excited to walk the road ahead and make a mark.
